Yes. As we ship retail quantities directly to customers, we are regulated by Health Canada and our local Health Unit. Our kitchen undergoes frequent inspections to ensure it meets rigorous safety and cleanliness standards.
We inspect all ingredients upon arrival — no damaged goods or items stored at unsafe temperatures are accepted. Frozen ingredients must be below 0°F, refrigerated below 40°F.
Raw products are kept separate, covered, cold, and clearly labeled. Raw products are never handled near ready-to-eat items. Chefs sanitize and change gloves when transitioning between raw and prepared ingredients.
We use modified atmospheric packaging, which adjusts the internal atmosphere of each meal to extend shelf life by 200% or more compared to regular packaging — no preservatives needed.
Meals are packed in insulated boxes with non-toxic gel packs to maintain temperature. Our packaging is tested to keep meals fresh for up to 48 hours in transit plus 12 hours at your doorstep.
It's normal if your gel packs arrive partially melted — your meals should still be cool to the touch.
